WELCOME FELLOW FUTURE POLITICIANS & DIPLOMATS!

Hey everyone! (hopefully you guys are debaters and MUNers... if not, then I wish you luck understanding debate slang XD)

This is just a general introduction to this blog and to who I am so just bear with me for a little while until we get to the really juicy stuff (like the crazy stuff that happens at tournaments) or the really informative things (like my carefully compiled debate cases and MUN position papers).

So basically, this blog is about, well, the life of a high school debater and MUNer. I know it sounds kind of boring (at least towards people who aren't in the debate subculture) but what can I say? It's my life and I can honestly tell you that I LIVE for Debate and MUN. Aside from school, friends, family and volunteer work as well as a couple of other assorted extracurriculars, Debate Club and Model UN consume my time and energy and has basically taken over my life... in a good way of course. I'm the Vice President of my school's Model UN club and am running for an exec position at my school's Debate Club (hopefully having placed good speaks in this years tourneys will give me an edge over the competition) and a proud member of my debate family consisting of some of the kindest, funniest, quirkiest (and weirdest) as well as the most inspirational people I've ever met.

Some of my posts on this will be my debate/MUN rants (like my rages about being shafted in a debate round, or the gavel hunters at a MUN conference), debate notes on certain resolutions and general tips and seminar papers (most often compiled by me, with some appearances from my debate fam and my debate partner - keep in mind, I do Canadian Parliamentary and British Parliamentary debate so my resources will reflect that), anecdotes and nostalgia trips on past tourneys and maybe just random stuff from everyday life that relates to debate and MUN in varying degrees.

I hope you enjoy! :D
